Our Kindness project

Yesterday, the year 7&8’s (the year 6’s were at Waitangi) where we spent most of the day experimenting. The main idea was to make people smile and having self care. Whaea Chrissy gave us a challenge, we had to smile and wave at people and then record how many people smile and wave back. We tried to make the teina in our school feel a sense of safety when they come up to us (before this experiment some of the little kids were intimidated by us). We scientifically proved that smiles are contagious. Try this experiment!

  1. Kia ora Taleisha my name is Carney from Kawakawa Primary School. I decided to comment on your Kindess project because the title really caught my attention!, I thought it was a great way to make people smile & be kind. One of our values here at Kawakawa is to be Respectful which is what this post showed. I really liked the idea of how you made your teina feel safe at school & also to set an example.
