Surf life saving!!!

The whole of Te Ngahere went to a day at the beach for surf life saving! We had a blast! Splashing around being rescued by friends and playing on boogie boards. It was really fun!

About Me

Kia ora. Ko Taleisha toku ingoa. I am a year 8 student in Te Ngahere attending Paihia School. My teachers are Whaea Becks, Whaea Chrissy, Whaea Gina and Matua Pep. My friends in my class are Breeze, Cheyenne, Imogen, Isabella-paige, Jorjah, Mihipeka, Missy and Zhynaliyah. I am part Maori, Tongan and Polish. I live with my great-grandparents. My mum lives in Auckland with my three younger brothers.

When I am in class my favourite subject is literacy (reading and writing) because that is the subject I am most confident in. I enjoy doing web committee and art because I can be creative in art and I can . Learning wise, I find mathematics challenging for me because I haven’t been confident in maths. Even when I was just 5 years old. Other things I find challenging at school or during school events is high jump because I find the scissor jump difficult to do. My goals at school is to improve in maths and become even better at literacy so at the end of the school term I have achieved all my learning goals that I set at the start of the year.

I am looking forward to achieving my learning goals so that in 2020 when I reach high school I am prepared. I am also looking forward to making the most of my last term at Paihia School and learning as much as I can so I can develop new strengths in my learning. I can’t wait to share my new learning with you guys!
